Albums
Toto's discography consists of 13 studio albums and four live albums. There are also a few compilations. In addition to releasing original music, Toto has also done collaborations with other artists and on soundtracks for films. The group has won a number of Grammy Awards for their work.
Before Toto was formed The members of the band did sessions for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session percussionist Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs 1975 album Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to formation of Toto in the year 1976.

Turn Back, Toto's third studio album was criticized by critics due to not having hit singles. In 1985, singer Fergie Frederiksen left the group and the band held auditions to find a new frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the group recorded their 1986 album Fahrenheit.
Toto released Toto XX in 1998 to mark its 20th anniversary. The group went through old tapes and recordings to create the album. The album was well received by fans and the band embarked on a tour that featured former members Bobby Kimball, Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
In the course of the tour for the album 40 Trips Around the Sun, drummer Leland Sklar left the group and was replaced by Shem von Schroeck. In the year 2017, Toto released the double-CD set Falling in Between. It included tour recordings as well as an interview with the group.
